I have been involved in running weight loss groups at the surgery for over 12 years. Having now introduced NLP/coaching techniques into the program, even more people are successful in losing weight.
People have found that using NLP for weight loss, also positively affects other areas in their lives that they are having difficulty with. There is lots of research to show that hypnotherapy can help weight loss .
For some people who want to lose weight, they know what to do but find it difficult to make the changes and can feel stuck.
For some people, they just need to make slight changes to make a difference
Analyse your eating patterns of when you may or may not eat more and creating new healthier patterns of behaviour
Get rid of the guilt and the word “Diet “
Focus on what you do want instead of what you don’t!
To look at NLP /Coaching techniques or Hypnotherapy to assist you in making the changes you want to make and help you to look and feel how you want to!

What can you do now?
All the evidence/research show that there needs to be a calorie deficit to lose weight.
To lose 1lb of fat a week calorie intake needs to be reduced by 500 calories a day.
That is 3500 calories a week.
Daily minimum calories should never be less than 1400cals.
Also exercise is important

To help you focus maybe ask yourself
For what reason do YOU want to lose weight?
What will it do for you or allow you to do?
How motivated are you on a scale of 1 –10?
If this is the right time for you?
These are Simple effective rules that will help you lose weight
Simple Rules
1. Eat when you are hungry
On a scale of 1- 10 how hungry are you
0 – not hungry at all 10 – Could eat a horse
If 7 and above you’re probably quite hungry.
5 or below you probably aren't so have a drink of water
If you are 9 or 10 you have probably left it too long to eat and are probably at risk of overeating once you start to eat.
2. When thinking of what to eat, ensure that you are going to eat something that you will enjoy.
3. Eat slowly – chew every mouthful
4. Every time you “fancy” having something to eat that is extra to your meals
a. drink a glass of water
b. ask yourself “what will that do for me ” ?
5. Leave a little bit of food on your plate
6. Exercise more than you do already!
7. Every day ask yourself what you could do to make this easy!
8. Try using seasonings e.g. Pepper, Herbs, Curry Powder, Vinegar, Mustard, Worcester sauce.
9. Cut down on salt
10. Use a smaller plate
11. Prepare less food
12. Look at how you can create new healthy habits and enjoy them!
