What is NLP?
NLP is short for Neuro-Linguistic Programming
NLP studies how people think and experience the world.
Simple techniques have been derived to enable people to make positive changes in how
they think, see, feel, act and live life.
NLP techniques enable people to choose and create the most effective/heathly behaviour
or pattern in any situation.
For example getting rid of unheathly habits or increasing confidence and self esteem
Neuro refers to our nervous system and the way our five senses allow us to see, hear,
feel, taste and smell and process and store information
Linguistic refers to how we put together words and phrases to express purselves,
as well as how our "silent language of movement and gestures" reveals our thinking,
mood styles and more.
Programming the way we programme our thoughts and hence our behaviour. We do this
unconsciously and without control.
What is Hypnosis?
It is a state of deep relaxation. it often feels like that 'waking up' feeling in a
morning when you are really comfortable in bed and just want '5 minutes' more!
You can still hear everything around you and know where you are but just feel very
comfortable and relaxed.
You can never be made to say or do anything that you don't want to do and would actually
come out of the trance if suggestions were made that you didn't morally approve of.
During this relaxed state, your mind is open and receptive to the suggestions that are
given to you, provided that they are the suggestions that you consciously want to take effect.
